A Review of the Effects of the Biopesticides Bacillus thuringiensis Serotypes israelensis (Bti) and kurstaki (Btk) in Amphibians

Insecticides are important in agriculture, to reduce human disease, and decrease the nuisance of biting insects. Despite this, many have potential for environmental impacts toxicity nontarget organisms. We reviewed data on effects insecticides based toxins from Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis (Bti) kurstaki (Btk) amphibians. The few peer-reviewed publications that available Bti provide variable conclusions, ranging observable evidence acute at high concentrations. briefly highlight current controversies identify key areas future investigation.
